Built around 1668, The Old '76 House was once known as Mabies Inn. While the tavern once played an important role in the early revolutionary war days. It is best known as "Andres prison".

The Inn dates back to 1727 & is the oldest operating inn in Bucks County. It is said to be one of the most haunted as well. As you can imagine, we were very excited when Jennifer Lopez of the examiner.com invited us along for the investigation.

We chose to stay at the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast during our last trip to Gettysburg. We were stunned by the beauty of the location & somewhat charged by the dizzying effects of a very early spring.

There have been complaints of items disappearing and then reappearing days later. Doors and cabinets open and close on their own. Footsteps are heard, as well as, the meow of an old friend. Apparitions have been seen on the second floor and in the attic.
